Planted dahlias, osteospermum, achillea millefolium, canna indica, nerium oleander, geum ‘Queen of Orange’, geum ‘Totally Tangerine’, azalea japonica, gerbera garvinea, salvia nemerosa ‘Caradonna’ and Sedum telephium ‘Purple Emperor’. Fences were planted with climbers: clematis montana and scented jasmine, trachelospermum jasminoides.
Plumbago – so pretty cheerful – thrives in the hot Texas summer. Disease- pest- and deer-resistant. Can grow into a large bush, and also can be trained to grow on a trellis.
This once formal garden has been turned into a cottage garden by tucking flowers between the sculpted shrubs…
Rustic garden… so simple and inviting, would love to have a garden big enough to have a path and borders like this. I find the light plants leading down to the shade really inviting.

Love this though would have gone with a stone or gravel path for a deeper sense of green . Peaceful and pretty
